## Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

As a Sr. Mission Software Engineer - Undersea Reconnaissance & Strike, you will work on debugging code, identifying and fixing issues in a real-world setting, and collaborating with teams to improve the overall performance of the system.

Responsibilities:

- Investigate and resolve field-reported anomalies in the system

- Reproduce issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes

- Collaborate with teams to improve system performance and reliability

- Develop and maintain software in languages such as Rust, C++, Python, and Go

- Work with metrics, logs, and observability tooling to reconstruct system state and diagnose issues

- Write clear documentation of root causes and fixes for future reference

Requirements:

- Experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information

- Proficiency in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, Go

- Systems-debugging instincts and experience with observability tooling

- Linux and systems fluency

- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively

Nice to have:

- Experience with robotics middleware, sensor drivers, or real-time data pipelines

- Familiarity with simulation-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop test setups

- Experience with CI/CD and versioned deployment

- On-call or field-support experience for hardware

This is a real entry point, not a holding pen. Do this well and you'll know more of the stack than most people who joined doing greenfield feature work , and that's exactly who ends up owning subsystems and driving roadmap next.

The salary range for this role is $191,000-$253,000 USD per year.
