## Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our FinCrime Requests team at Wise. You will contribute to creating a new network for the world's money, focusing on external financial crime investigations.

Our team's mission is to efficiently process requests from partner banks, law enforcement, and other authorities while detecting suspicious activities that our internal systems might miss. Our strategic goals include intelligent request processing, customer experience enhancement, and intelligence feedback integration.

As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will:

- Improve automation systems using Large Language Models (LLMs) to process incoming emails from law enforcement and partner banks

- Develop a unified request handling platform that integrates RFI and LE case management workflows

- Create partner access capabilities for law enforcement and partner banks to access customer information efficiently

- Enhance escalation systems to identify genuine criminal activity while reducing false positives and customer friction

- Implement automated response generation using LLMs and templating systems for consistent, professional responses

- Optimize suspended transaction handling to minimize customer impact while maintaining compliance

You will also mentor junior engineers, collaborate across FinCrime teams, lead technical architecture discussions, and drive automation improvements.

Requirements:

- Extensive experience with Java, Spring framework, asynchronous message queues, and microservices architecture

- Ability to build scalable case management platforms that handle growing request volumes globally

- Experience with data enrichment systems that automatically gather relevant customer information

- Knowledge of flexible templating systems for generating responses across different jurisdictions and languages
