## Description

We are seeking an Assets Protection Specialist to join our team at Target. As an Assets Protection Specialist, you will play a crucial role in keeping our guests, team members, and brand secure. You will be responsible for preventing and resolving theft, as well as identifying and addressing security incidents.

Responsibilities:

- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by delivering excellent customer service

- Support total store sales, guest service, and increase profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests

- Resolve theft by using good judgement and conducting apprehensions in shortage focus areas while strictly adhering to AP policies and procedures

- Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting, and surveillance tactics

- Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues

- Understand and appropriately use video systems to monitor theft activity

- Respond to security incidents and submit appropriate documentation for all incidents following AP policy and procedures

- Promote a physical security and safety culture for our team members and guests

- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches

- Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible

- Maintain positive work relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement

- Participate in legal proceedings as necessary to represent Target's interests

Requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position

- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

- Effective communication skills

- Work both independently and with a team

- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
