## Description

The IT Technician's role encompasses daily technical support and management of IT resources, focusing on end-user satisfaction, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. This position is pivotal in maintaining the organisation's IT environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing technical assistance and prompt troubleshooting to end-users for hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their work.

- Maintaining, repairing, and upgrading desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other hardware equipment as needed.

- Installing, configuring, and updating software applications, ensuring proper functionality.

- Assisting in network configuration and maintenance, resolving connectivity issues.

- Implementing and maintaining security measures, including access controls and antivirus software.

- Maintaining accurate records of hardware and software inventory, configurations, and support requests.

- Using the IT ticketing system to efficiently track, prioritise, and resolve technical issues.

- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and patches.

Requirements include:

- Proficiency in desktop and server operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).

- Basic knowledge of network protocols and configurations.

- Hardware troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

- Familiarity with software installation, configuration, and updates.

- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

- Good level of written English proficiency, a strong oral communication skill would be viewed as a plus.
