## Description

We are seeking a Principal Engineer - Plumbing & Fire Protection to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for producing Public Health Engineering services designs for Railway Stations and other Railway Buildings, working individually or as part of a team. You will take a senior role in project design work, focusing on production and liaison with the WSP India Australian (AU) Team, and mentor and coach junior members of the team.

Responsibilities:

- Design and produce Public Health Engineering services, including domestic cold and hot water demand and pipe sizing, water heater storage and sizing, and heat tracing design.

- Develop and select hot water heating systems, including point-of-use electric, centralized boiler/Calorifier, and air-source heat pump systems.

- Design foul drainage flow and pipe sizing, grease, oil, and lint interceptor systems, sewage lift stations, dewatering systems, basement sump pumps, and lift sump pumps.

- Create septic tank sizing and soak pit designs, rainwater system designs, and pipe sizing calculations based on applicable codes and standards.

- Coordinate multidisciplinary checks, attend client meetings, and respond to client comments and RFIs.

- Have experience in fire protection design, including concept, schematic, detailed, shop, as-built, and GFC stages, and preparation of design reports.

- Demonstrate strong knowledge of design, QC checks, and review of public health and fire protection system services.

- Proficient in technical software, such as Hevacomp, H2X, Hyena, and Revit.

- Fluency in English with excellent understanding of technical terminology.

- Lead and guide the team, promote WSP's vision and values, and prioritize health and safety.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.

- Professional membership and qualification (CEng) from international professional institutions.

- Experience in international projects and design.
