At Ampol, we're looking for dynamic retail leaders to shape our vision. As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll coach and inspire our retail staff, enhance their customer service and operational skills, and embody the Ampol brand.

About the role: Our Assistant Store Managers manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. They support, coach, and motivate the store team and foster a collaborative work environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide outstanding customer service, address customer inquiries, and resolve complaints.

- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, place orders, and ensure the store is well-stocked and organized.

- Focus on profitability while managing costs, expenses, and waste.

- Thrive in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment while balancing competing priorities.

- Bring our convenience retail strategy to life.

- Work flexible hours, including weekends and overnights when needed.

Qualifications:

- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

- Ability to operate POS and handle cash accurately.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster, including nights and weekends.
