Business Development

AVL is seeking a Business Development professional to identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities aligned with AVL's strategic focus areas (sustainable mobility, electrification, digitalization).

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities aligned with AVL's strategic focus areas

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (OEMs, Tier1s and mobility stakeholders) in collaboration with the local sales team

- Analyze market trends (e-mobility, hydrogen, ADAS, software-defined vehicle, cybersecurity) and translate them into concrete business opportunities

- Define compelling value propositions and integrated solutions (engineering, testing, simulation, digitalization)

- Manage the commercial pipeline, ensuring efficient opportunity qualification and conversion

- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product and operations teams to ensure competitive and feasible offers

- Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals and participate in contract negotiations

- Perform market and competitor analysis to anticipate industry developments

- Contribute to growth strategies, including expansion into new markets or segments

Requirements:

- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering

- Recent graduate or with initial professional experience

- Strong interest in business development, mobility and innovation

- Analytical mindset with commercial orientation

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Fluent English is mandatory; German is a plus
