## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to join the EA SPORTS NHL team in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The EA SPORTS NHL franchise has revolutionized sports gaming for millions of players worldwide, and the team is dedicated to creating on-ice experiences that connect gamers around the world through play.

As a Systems Software Engineer, you will work on integrating primary technologies and features in a massive codebase, improving performance, utility, and capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

- Working with other engineers to integrate technologies and features across multiple hardware architectures

- Improving memory, load times, and performance

- Debugging defects in development environments

- Automating tasks and improving workflow efficiency

- Contributing to core EA technologies

- Collaborating with technical and non-technical coworkers to create practical designs

- Mentoring other software engineering team members

The ideal candidate will have:

- 5+ years of C++ development experience

- Experience with software engineering and architectural design

- Understanding of memory management, file systems, multi-core processing, and performance

- Experience with profiling tools and build systems

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

- Experience with multiple programming languages, including Python, Lua, and C#

- Previous experience shipping console products

- Experience with assembly and AI-assisted development tools

In terms of compensation, the salary range is $122,300 - $170,700 CAD per year.
