Grab is Southeast Asia's leading superapp, offering various services such as food delivery, financial management, and transportation.

The SNP team builds personalization platforms that power every business vertical across Grab, serving millions of consumers, merchants, and partners in Southeast Asia.

You will take strong ownership of problems, frame them clearly, and drive them to resolution with minimal guidance. You will oversee the end-to-end recommendation pipeline, design and write in Go to improve service availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the end-to-end recommendation pipeline

- Design and write in Go to improve service availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency

- Work with product and design teams to understand requirements and implement features

- Partner with Data Science to improve ML infrastructure and feature engineering pipelines

- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and design reviews

- Write reusable, scalable, and testable code

- Collaborate with QA to ensure high-quality products

- Participate in service capacity and demand planning, software performance analysis, tuning, and optimization

- Be responsible and responsive during on-call duty

- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to peers

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering in a distributed systems environment

- Experience shipping products to production, with an understanding of system performance and scaling

- Hands-on experience with recommendation systems and machine learning

- Knowledge of cloud technologies and experience developing and deploying services on the cloud

- Investigative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation and continuous improvement
