## Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to join our team at Swiggy. As a technical individual contributor, you will be responsible for setting up and implementing test automation strategies from functional and non-functional perspectives for one or multiple modules, primarily comprising web apps, mobile web, and embedded web views.

**Responsibilities:**

- Develop and implement test automation strategies for multiple modules

- Create optimal test strategies, including functional, non-functional, analytics, and automation

- Design and develop test automation frameworks and self-serve tools

- Manage and maintain test coverage through periodic reports to engineering and stakeholders

- Find innovative ways to optimize test strategy for maximizing ROI

- Add new capabilities and features to the automation framework

**Requirements:**

- 4-6 years of experience in software development and testing

- Prior experience with visual regression, accessibility, performance testing, CI/CD integration, flaky-test management, and component testing

- Experience with TypeScript/E2E frameworks (Playwright/Cypress)

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Good design skills

- Understanding of mobile app and web automation (Appium/Selenium/TypeScript)

- Experience with design patterns and test automation frameworks

- Prior automation experience for REST-based web services using Java

- Strong hands-on experience with functional and non-functional automation for web and REST services

- Ability to write complex SQL queries using joins

- Experience with GenAI tooling for automation and improving testing and regression quality

**Nice to Have:**

- Experience with cloud-managed services, AWS
