## Description

We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team at The Ridgeway Surgery. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks.

**Main duties of the job**

- Greet and welcome patients in a warm and professional manner.

- Answer phone calls promptly, ensuring excellent phone etiquette at all times.

- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail.

- Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and maintaining records.

- Action repeat prescription requests and ensure that they are ready for collection by the patient within 48 hours.

- Assist with administrative tasks as required by management.

- Maintain an organised reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable at all times.

- Ensure that all new patients are registered onto the computer system promptly and accurately.

**About us** The Ridgeway Surgery is a forward-thinking and friendly practice team with a range of healthcare professionals, including 4 GP partners, 2 regular locum doctors, 1 practice nurse, 3 healthcare assistants, 2 pharmacists, 1 physiotherapist, 6 receptionists, and 2 medical secretaries. We use the EMIS Web system.
