## Description

Energy Exemplar is seeking an Associate Energy Market Analyst (Data) to work with their team in Pune. The company provides energy simulation software used by organizations globally to make informed decisions about energy.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and maintaining global power market models/datasets using PLEXOS/Aurora tools

- Assisting in market research, model updates, result analysis, and model benchmarking

- Visualizing and analyzing production cost market model results using Power BI, Excel

- Working on projects to deliver standalone datasets and portions of datasets using fundamental data along with PLEXOS and Aurora power market models

- Analyzing power markets, undertaking research, analyzing and manipulating data, and processing data for input into power market models

- Maintaining large databases of energy-related data

- Running PLEXOS and/or Aurora and interpreting output model results and energy balances

Requirements include:

- Experience with energy market modeling

- High level of numeracy, computer, and web literacy

- Basic understanding of energy economics for power market fundamentals and economic concepts of power markets

- Knowledge of production cost modeling software such as PLEXOS, Aurora, or Pro-mod

- Good knowledge of power plant/natural gas economics, power systems, gas supply chain, operation research/optimization techniques, statistics, and energy (power and gas) markets/industry

- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and see projects/assignments through from start to finish
