## Description

We are currently expanding our Support Services team and looking for a Senior Consulting Engineer to join our global team. You will provide consultative support to ClickHouse's enterprise customers, combining hands-on engineering, development support, and top-tier support. You will work directly with strategic customers, providing guidance, answering questions, and offering technical supervision.

Responsibilities:

- Project engineering and consulting (50% of work): participate in customer projects, designing, architecting, integrating, implementing, and documenting solutions.

- Consultative support (50% of work): provide case-based consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects, assisting with implementation, onboarding, and production.

- Provide architecture, technology, and migration support, including hands-on work.

- When not assigned to customer projects, support L1-L3 cases and communicate with customers.

- Collaborate with ClickHouse's product management, engineering, and sales teams to contribute to product roadmaps and account plans.

- Create and support various content, such as documentation, knowledge base articles, and reference architectures.

- Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members as the team grows.

- Be available for 24/7 support in a global distributed environment, with possible travel up to 35%.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in professional services, support, technical account management, engineering/SRE, and/or project management.

- 5+ years of experience with scalable and fault-tolerant distributed database management systems (DBMS).

- Broad and deep technical knowledge in DBMS, OLAP, cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network management, big data, etc.

- Experience leading large-scale technical projects with multiple engineers.

- Expertise in public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their IaaS services.

Nice to have:

- Experience with ClickHouse.

- Experience with OSS and open-source technologies.

- Experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS.

- Experience with data pipelines like Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, RabbitMQ.
