## Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced/Senior Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer to join the Flight Systems Engineering Capability in Berkeley, MO. This role supports new product design, development, integration, and flight test for the T-7A Red Hawk, focusing on flight control and subsystem control.

Responsibilities:

- Gather, define, and document Guidance, Navigation, and Control mission requirements, ensuring traceability and quality from system to component level

- Develop and refine a complex, nonlinear, 6 degrees of freedom simulation model using multidisciplinary model data

- Support design of flight control laws and tools to achieve design and performance targets

- Assess and refine control law design using advanced analysis

- Perform model validation against test data to improve simulation environment accuracy

- Develop supplementary controllers, limiters, mode logic, and signal shaping

- Collaborate with flight simulation and Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) software engineers

- Support flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop testing, and flight testing

- Participate in design reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/system testing

- Author and maintain engineering documentation

- Design trade studies to meet program requirements

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent

- 5+ years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 9+ years of related work experience

- Experience with system and component modeling

- Experience implementing algorithms in real-time systems

- Programming skills in C/C#

- Advanced Control Systems courses

- Experience with Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX

- Level 3: $115,600 - $156,400

- Level 4: $142,800 - $193,200
