## Description

Howden Re is seeking individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset to join its US Facultative business team. The successful candidate will support brokers across the team, create pre- and post-placement materials, construct reinsurance submission materials, track reinsurer quotes and communication, build client presentations, review and edit documents, quantify the impact of reinsurance structures, and research market trends.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a reinsurance, underwriting, or related position, a Bachelor's degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a business-related field, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

- Supporting brokers across the team

- Creating pre- and post-placement materials

- Constructing reinsurance submission materials

- Tracking reinsurer quotes, authorizations, and communication

- Building client presentations within PowerPoint

- Reviewing/editing documents such as large datasets within Excel, and reinsurance contracts

- Quantifying the impact of various reinsurance structures on individual large losses and/or insurance company financials

- Researching market trends

Qualifications:

- 1 to 3 years of experience in a reinsurance, underwriting or related position & environment

- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a business-related field

- Interest in pursuing a career within Reinsurance

- Proactive, creative and analytical thinker that works well independently and within a team

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Desire and interest to pursue an opportunity that is involving client related tasks

- Ability to apply mathematical thinking in the business and insurance environment

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

- Strong time management skills and project management skills

- Detail oriented

- Highly motivated and committed to continually developing your professional skillset

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
