## Description

As a Component Engineer at NVIDIA, you will play a key role in providing the best electro-mechanical solutions for our design needs. You will be responsible for understanding the manufacturer landscape, assessing component parameters, and offering the most suitable solutions to our design team.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with the design team to understand project requirements and specifications, researching and evaluating various manufacturers and suppliers of unique electrical and optical components, analysing and assessing component parameters, recommending and selecting the most appropriate interconnect solutions, and providing technical support to the design team during the development and testing phases.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Optical Engineering or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of experience with electrical and optical components, including lasers, connectors, high-speed cables, fibers, transceivers, and related technologies. You should also have experience in evaluating component parameters, familiarity with industry standards and protocols related to optical interconnects, and knowledge in product management systems (PLM).
