## Description

The Oracles sit at the heart of Spotify's financial infrastructure, building and evolving systems that power subledger and accounting lifecycles.

You will act as an embedded accounting domain expert within Financial Engineering R&D, contributing to day-to-day product and engineering decisions.

Responsibilities:

- Guide system and product design to ensure accounting best practices and controls are built into the foundation

- Translate complex accounting requirements into scalable system inputs across the subledger lifecycle

- Partner with engineers and product teams to shape flows for accruals, adjustments, reconciliation, and rebooking

- Contribute to solution development, prototyping, and validation for the core accounting platform

- Analyse existing accounting flows to separate core requirements from legacy technical constraints

- Help define and standardize accounting logic across systems like MoneyBooker, IOU Batcher, and NetSuite integrations

- Break down ambiguous financial and technical challenges into practical solutions

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in operational or technical accounting within a medium to large organization

- Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, subledger processes, and accounting best practices

- Experience partnering with technical teams and communicating accounting concepts in a systems context

- Comfortable working in data-driven or system-heavy environments

- Structured, analytical approach to problem-solving

- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite

- Interest in developing technical skills and working closely with engineering
