## Description

We are seeking an Associate Relay Settings Engineer to join our team in Framingham, MA. As a core team member, you will interact with other electric utility disciplines, contributing to utility substation and renewable energy projects.

**Job Details:** The Leidos Energy, Infrastructure, and Automation operation solves utilities' complex challenges through engineering, planning, project management, construction management, and commissioning for electric power substations and transmission and distribution lines.

**Responsibilities:**

- Work with protection engineers and perform quality reviews on relay setting packages

- Create logic diagrams for IEC61850 substations

- Collaborate with clients and staff in remote office locations

- Support project planning activities through design and construction support

- Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV, including relay set points, logic diagrams, configuration files, and documentation

- Solve challenging substation engineering problems

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 0+ years of experience

- Basic knowledge of creating relay settings and logic diagrams

- Familiarity with Aspen OneLiner and/or Siemens' CAPE for coordination studies and fault study analysis

- Understanding of protective relay coordination studies

- Ability to learn development of relay settings for microprocessor relays

- Strong engineering and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Applicable internship/Co-op experience

- Experience preparing technical reports

- Understanding of power system protection

- Ability to travel overnight on occasion

- EIT License

**Work Arrangement:**

- Hybrid: Two to three days a week in the Framingham, MA office

- Must be willing to travel to customer sites and in-office/testing lab as needed

**Salary Range:** $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
