## Description

You will drive growth through ecosystem partnerships and strategic deals as an Executive Director in Business Development at Synopsys. Working closely with product management, engineering, sales leadership, and executive teams, you will develop long-term business opportunities in high-growth segments such as AI compute, chiplets, automotive silicon, mobile platforms, and hyperscale infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Defining and executing business development strategy for Synopsys' semiconductor IP portfolio across AI compute, chiplets, automotive silicon, mobile platforms, and hyperscale infrastructure

- Structuring and negotiating strategic licensing agreements, joint development partnerships, and ecosystem collaborations with semiconductor companies, hyperscalers, automotive suppliers, and system OEMs

- Developing executive relationships with foundries, packaging providers, and platform vendors to expand IP adoption

- Working with product management and engineering to align IP roadmap with market demand and customer requirements

- Evaluating new vertical markets including AI/ML accelerators, automotive ADAS, IoT, data center processors, and edge computing

- Representing Synopsys in industry consortia and standards bodies, delivering market insights to executive leadership

- Partnering with sales leadership to support strategic account engagement and complex enterprise deals

The impact you will have:

- Opening new revenue streams by identifying and closing partnerships in untapped market segments

- Accelerating adoption of Synopsys IP in next-generation SoC architectures and chiplet ecosystems

- Shaping long-term IP portfolio strategy through acquisition recommendations, technology partnerships, and market intelligence

- Strengthening Synopsys' position in high-growth segments like AI compute and automotive silicon through strategic deals

- Enabling better product roadmap decisions by bringing customer requirements and market feedback directly to engineering teams

- Building an ecosystem of foundry, hyperscaler, and OEM partnerships that expand IP reach beyond traditional licensing

- Influencing industry direction through participation in standards bodies where interface specifications and chiplet interconnects are defined

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- 15+ years in semiconductor, EDA, or semiconductor IP with proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or technology strategy

- A track record of structuring and negotiating complex technology licensing or partnership agreements that drove measurable revenue or market expansion

- Deep understanding of SoC design, semiconductor ecosystems, and IP licensing models

- Strong industry network across semiconductor companies, hyperscalers, and automotive chip suppliers with executive-level access

- Experience driving new revenue streams and strategic market expansion

- Experience with interface IP such as PCIe, DDR, USB, SerDes, processor IP, or security IP is a plus

- An MBA or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Business is a plus
