The Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Mechanical (Dive-XL) role is focused on mechanical systems and is responsible for ensuring the Dive-XL line runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:

- Lead root cause analysis on assembly problems, process deviations, tooling failures, and nonconforming parts

- Be the first point of contact for technicians and supervisors on mechanical build issues

- Update manufacturing BOMs, routings, and work instructions

- Design fixtures, lifting equipment, and assembly tooling

- Track yield, throughput, scrap, and labor hours

- Lay out workstations and material flow

- Drive DFM and DFA with the design team

- Use AI coding tools to build Python scripts, dashboards, and small apps

- Mentor early-career engineers and technicians

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering

- 5+ years of manufacturing or production engineering experience

- Experience with root cause analysis, lean and continuous improvement projects

- Strong knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5

- Experience with manufacturing BOMs, routings, and engineering change in an ERP, PLM, or MES

- 3D CAD for fixture and tooling design

- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Production line design and setup

- Experience with large welded aluminum structures

- Subsea or pressure-rated hardware experience

- Building engineering release workflows

- Production data analysis in Python, MATLAB, or Minitab

The salary range for this role is $147,000-$196,000 USD per year.
