## Description

We are seeking a Research Engineer/Research Scientist to join our Personal AGI team, focusing on improving pre-trained models for deployment into ChatGPT, the API, and potential future products. The successful candidate will research and develop improvements to our models, combining reinforcement learning and products.

**Responsibilities:**

- Own and pursue a research agenda to improve model capability and performance.

- Collaborate closely with research and product teams to optimize customer models.

- Build robust evaluations for tracking modeling improvements.

- Design, implement, test, and debug code across our research stack.

**Requirements:**

- Deep understanding of machine learning and machine learning applications.

- Good judgment about model behavior and effective communication of this judgment.

- Ability to turn ambitious, qualitative problems into concrete training interventions.

- Working knowledge of relevant models and building evaluations for model capability improvement.

- Comfortable diving into a large ML codebase to debug.

- Thrive in a dynamic, technically complex, and collaborative environment.

**Compensation:**

- $295K – $555K per year, with equity
