## Description

We are seeking an Instructional Aide to join our team at Lake Erie Preparatory School. As an Instructional Aide, you will assist teachers with classroom activities and help promote positive student behaviors in academics and extracurricular activities.

Responsibilities:

- Support lessons taught by teachers to individual students or groups of students

- Help plan classroom activities as directed by teachers

- Assist with school activities such as parent-faculty nights, faculty meetings, and assemblies

- Perform clerical duties like grading papers and making copies

- Assist teachers in using classroom technology

- Maintain the cleanliness of the classroom, lunchroom, and other school areas

- Understand and implement the school's philosophy and mission statement

- Other duties as assigned

Performance Expectations:

- Work cooperatively with teachers and others

- Act in accordance with directives from administrators and teachers

- Contribute to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards

Requirements:

- Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or passage of the Paraprofessional's Exam

- Proficiency in MS Office

- Successful completion of BCI/FBI check

- Ability to meet educational standards

- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks

- Understanding and ability to manage confidential information

- High-quality written and verbal communication skills

- Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.

- Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus
