## Description

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Daily Substitute Teacher at Columbus Bilingual West in Columbus, Ohio. The teacher will provide a superior education for all students, creating a positive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development.

Columbus Bilingual West serves EK-6th grade students and is a vibrant, language-rich learning community where students build strong verbal and literacy skills. The school offers 40 minutes of daily Spanish instruction and immersive cultural experiences, celebrating Latino heritage and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year

- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Managing student behavior in the classroom

- Creating a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicating and meeting with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth

- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning

- Participating in planning and implementation of non-instructional activities as needed

- Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues

Requirements:

- Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area

- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to properly manage confidential information

- Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings

- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working within an urban environment
