## Description

This role supports the Health Services business unit (Bupa UK) and will form part of the Cromwell Hospital Billing & Credit Control team which sits within the Bupa UK Commercial & Finance team.

The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing a debt portfolio of customers, with a focus on resolving aged debt, building good relationships with customers, and liaising with key contacts to pursue prompt payment of invoices.

Key responsibilities include:

- Resolving aged debt and managing a debt portfolio of customers

- Building good relationships with customers and liaising with key contacts

- Checking and dispatching routine letters and chasing overdue accounts by telephone

- Discussing patient accounts and queries with patients and internal departments

- Reviewing accounts and preparing details to be passed to collection agencies and solicitors

- Providing weekly updates on all accounts to senior management

- Working with clients to minimise unallocated cash

- Preparing other tasks as directed by the Billing and Credit Control Manager

- Building and maintaining effective working relationships across Finance and with other colleagues

The ideal candidate will have:

- Good knowledge of Compucare and Report Generator

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook

- Ability to identify and act on opportunities for improvements in processes, controls, and reporting

- Highly developed influencing and collaboration skills

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- High level of work organisation, self-motivation, and flexibility

- Strong Customer Service skills
