## Description

We are seeking an experienced MFE Engineer to lead cross-functional deployment of end-to-end material flow systems for major plant changes, new introductions, and capacity/footprint transformations across Powertrain Operations.

**Job Summary:** As an MFE Engineer at Ford, you will play a critical role in designing and deploying material flow concepts, ensuring readiness of suppliers, internal logistics, and internal dunnage/container loops. You will also lead the deployment of lean storage and intralogistics automation solutions and ensure integration with digital execution and traceability.

**Responsibilities:**

- Lead cross-functional deployment of end-to-end material flow systems for major plant changes, new introductions, and capacity/footprint transformations across Powertrain Operations.

- Ensure readiness of suppliers, internal logistics, and internal dunnage/container loops while integrating quality and traceability requirements.

- Lead deployment of lean storage and intralogistics automation solutions and ensure integration with digital execution and traceability.

- Define and deploy material flow concepts covering receiving, storage, internal logistics, point-of-use supply, finished goods movement, shipping, and empty-return loops for internal dunnage.

- Establish exception flows, define and govern automation zones in material flow concepts, and lead internal returnable dunnage/container fleet strategy definition.

- Ensure material flow and internal dunnage enable traceability and compliance, and define internal dunnage-related controls for part protection, cleanliness, and damage prevention.

- Lead supplier readiness plans for material delivery, own internal cutover plans, training needs, and risk registers for MFE deliverables.

- Mentor engineers, review and approve technical outputs, and own internal logistics cost models and drive reductions through standardization and waste elimination.

- Develop and maintain business case inputs for automation and lean storage initiatives.

- Lead feasibility and cross-functional deployment for AGV/AMR initiatives and implement lean storage solutions.

**Requirements:**

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Material Flow or related).

- Typically 5-7 years' experience in Material Flow Engineering/plant logistics engineering/manufacturing operations support.

- Project/program leadership experience strongly preferred.

- Clear written and verbal communication for cross-functional reviews.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- System-level material flow design and governance.

- Strong engineering depth for internal returnable/expendable dunnage and container strategies.

- Ability to lead risk-based planning and execution across multiple stakeholders.

- Familiarity with intralogistics automation concepts.

- Coaches others and raises capability within the team.
