We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team that crafts new tools and UIs, maintains and supports one of the largest logging deployments in the industry, and drives Adobe's observability strategy forward.

**Job Requirements**

- 10+ years of experience with distributed applications at scale in public and/or private cloud, including 3+ years managing engineering teams

- Experience leading teams that architect and implement large-scale Observability platforms

- B.S. degree in Computer Science or related technical field

- Proven ability to hire, develop, mentor, and retain engineering talent in a diverse and distributed team environment

**Must Have**

- Track record of leading teams operating internally hosted logging systems like Splunk, ClickHouse, Loki, Elastic

- Demonstrated ability to drive ingestion cost optimization across a team through data-driven analysis and pipeline guardrails

- Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, including collector configuration, pipelines, and instrumentation

- Experience setting technical direction for AI agent development and integrating AI workflows into large-scale deployments

- Experience overseeing distributed environments with thousands of users

- Familiarity with languages like Go and Python

- Experience guiding the design and implementation of systems for fault tolerance, scalability, and stability

- Experience leading teams that develop, deploy, and run distributed applications on cloud platforms

- Ability to establish and manage on-call coverage across a multi-tool observability stack

- Accountable for the highest level of up-time and Quality of Service to Adobe's customers

- Experience defining service level objectives and service level indicators

- Knowledge of cloud deployments

- Partner with SRE and Engineering/Product leadership to drive critical initiatives and align roadmaps

- Experience overseeing the design and maintenance of production monitoring systems

- Ability to coordinate resolution of performance and stability issues

- Excellent communicator in and across teams

- Impacts the organization through ownership of technical direction, strategic decisions, and team planning

- Responsible for performance management, career development, and headcount planning for the team

**Good to Have**

- Experience guiding teams evaluating and prototyping alternative storage/processing backends

- Experience with other Observability tooling like Grafana, Cortex, and Tempo

- Familiar with a variety of cloud security and automation concepts, practices, and procedures

- Champion the DevOps/SRE approach across the organization

- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-organizational stakeholder communication

**Expected Pay Range:** Romania: 331,000 RON - 479,500 RON annually
