## Description

We are seeking a highly qualified 2nd Grade Teacher at Northwest School of the Arts in Cleveland, Ohio. As a teacher, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering lesson plans, differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and delivering lesson plans with the ability to modify them during the school year

- Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students

- Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development

- Utilizing research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction

- Managing student behavior in the classroom

- Creating a positive classroom environment for students to learn in

- Utilizing school-approved curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students

- Implementing school-wide culture expectations and norms

- Communicating and meeting with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child

- Incorporating technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning

- Participating in the planning and implementation of non-instructional activities, as needed

- Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues

Requirements:

- Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area

- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field

- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to properly manage confidential information

- Ability to supervise students of various ages in different school settings

- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks

- Experience working within an urban environment
