## Description

Howden is seeking a Claims Executive to join their established Claims team. As a Claims Executive, you will manage commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement, acting as a trusted adviser to clients throughout the claims process. You will work closely with brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders to achieve timely and effective claim resolution.

Responsibilities:

- Manage commercial insurance claims from notification through to settlement, including larger, more complex or contentious losses.

- Act as a trusted adviser to clients, providing guidance and support throughout the claims process while delivering a high-quality claims experience.

- Work closely with brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, legal representatives and other stakeholders to achieve timely and effective claim resolution.

- Visit clients following significant losses to investigate circumstances, gather information and help build robust claims submissions.

- Negotiate with insurers to secure the best possible settlement in line with policy coverage.

- Partner closely with a Claims Handler to deliver a seamless and efficient service to clients.

- Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues, helping to support retention and strengthen our client proposition.

Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, coverage types and claims procedures.

- Previous commercial claims experience within an insurance brokerage environment.

- Strong client relationship management experience.

Skills:

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build trusted client relationships.

- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Confident and resilient when handling complex or contentious claims.

- Demonstrates empathy and professionalism when supporting clients through difficult claims situations.

Qualifications:

- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

- A Levels (desirable).

- CII qualifications or working towards CII (desirable).
