## Description

ShipMonk is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join their team in delivering their promise to merchants: Stress Less, Grow More.

The Senior Operations Manager will establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment is properly maintained

- Managing the budget and P&L of the operation

- Ensuring operational excellence in all warehouse areas, related equipment, and systems

- Partnering with others to maintain the proper layout of warehouse and product placement

- Monitoring and ensuring facility key performance indicators (KPI) are met in a timely and cost-effective manner

- Leading cultural change within facilities whenever necessary

- Participating in the interviewing, hiring, and training of supervisory and hourly staff

- Addressing complaints and resolving problems

- Overseeing warehouse sanitation

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Operations, Fulfillment Center Operations, or Distribution Center Operations

- Minimum of 6 to 8 years related experience and/or training

- Experience with warehouse management systems

- Preferably experience with labor management systems and productivity initiatives

- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus

- Proficiency with enterprise technology systems such as Advanced Excel, Outlook/Gmail, Project Management Software, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Process Workflow creation

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and internal and external customers

- Experience leading teams of 40+ employees
