## Description

We're seeking a Firmware Engineer Intern to join our team. As a hybrid role, you'll work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

As a Firmware Engineer Intern, you will analyze, design, program, debug, and modify firmware, including DSP, embedded code, BMC, and BIOS/UEFI. Your work will involve analog and digital hardware and real-time operating systems, and you'll typically program in machine language and high-level object-oriented programming languages like C and Python.

Responsibilities:

- Code and program enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of firmware

- Execute established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code

- Identify, log, and debug assigned issues

- Develop understanding of and relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on firmware design and development

- Participate as a member of project teams with other firmware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners

Requirements:

- Working towards a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

- Experience or understanding of firmware design tools and languages

- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

- Understanding of firmware and hardware design principles

- Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures

- Good written and verbal communication skills

Salary: $35.00 - $46.00 per hour (dependent on location)
