## Description

We are seeking a Senior Developer – QIS Technology to join our team at Barclays. As a Senior Developer, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of innovative quantitative investment strategies that drive business growth and enhance client outcomes.

**Responsibilities**

- Design, develop, and improve software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

- Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed about industry technology trends and innovations.

- Implement secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.

- Ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability through effective unit testing practices.

- Contribute to setting strategy, driving requirements, and making recommendations for change.

- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment and support the control and governance agenda.

- Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls.

- Collaborate with other areas of work to provide business-aligned support.

**Requirements**

- Ability in programming with Python and creating solutions using Python.

- Experience with Docker, cloud environments, and Kubernetes.

- Experience with market data and equities front office systems.

- Knowledge and experience of Equity Derivative products.

- Experience with SRE functions like instrumentation and monitoring.

**Preferred Skills**

- Knowledge and experience of Commodities, Futures, Options.

- Experience in working with front office users, trading, and structuring.

- Knowledge working with KDB.

- Programming with Java.

- Experience in working with AI agents.

**Salary**

- Minimum Salary: $170,000

- Maximum Salary: $230,000
