## Description

We are seeking a High School Math Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year at Brooke High School in Boston, MA.

As a Math teacher at Brooke High School, you will be part of a team that sets the tone for student growth and learning. You will create a classroom environment that fosters students' awareness and appreciation of the role of advanced mathematics in everyday life. You will be the leader of your classroom and build strong relationships with students to push them to be their best selves both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

- Think deeply about math instruction and guide students through the process of discovering math principles for themselves.

- Crave feedback and collaborate with colleagues to meet the needs of every student.

- Participate in regular data meetings, engage in approximately 20 administrative observations, and participate in nearly 300 hours of professional development over the course of the school year.

- Teach multiple sections of math each day and serve as an advisor, mentoring students, communicating with families, and sharing information about colleges and character education.

- May choose to lead an after-school club or coach a sport for an additional stipend.

Requirements:

- Earn a Bachelor's degree and have deep content knowledge of high-level mathematics up to and including AP Calculus AB.

- Have at least 2 years of experience as a lead teacher.

- Be committed to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias, empowering students with the resources they need to create choice-filled lives for themselves and their futures.

- Believe that great teaching closes the achievement gap and have an unwavering belief in your students' capabilities.

- Be professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues.

Benefits:

- Competitive salary range: $74,000-$130,000, commensurate with experience.

- Additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need subject area.

Hours for this role are 7:45 am - 4:00 pm.
