## Description

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Leeds. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will lead the delivery of technically complex geotechnical and geological projects, ensuring excellence in quality, programme, and commercial performance.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the delivery of complex geotechnical and geological projects

- Develop and review ground models, geotechnical interpretation, and design parameters

- Undertake and check geotechnical analysis and design for slopes, retaining structures, foundations, earthworks, and geohazard assessments

- Manage projects and multidisciplinary work packages

- Act as a key point of contact for clients and develop trusted relationships

- Design, procure, and manage ground investigations

- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers

- Contribute to bids, tenders, and business development activities

- Champion innovation, sustainability, and digital delivery practices

Requirements:

- Strong technical understanding of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, and ground risk management

- Proven experience delivering geotechnical assessments, designs, and project management responsibilities

- Sound knowledge of soil and rock mechanics, geotechnical analysis, and geotechnical design

- Experience leading project tasks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Experience planning and supervising ground investigations

- Strong client-facing skills

- Chartered status with a relevant professional institution or demonstrable progress towards achieving chartership
