## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Science at Capital One, you will lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies across billions of customer records. The Personal Loan Acquisition modeling team builds machine learning models to help customers access the right loan products at the best possible rates.

**Responsibilities:**

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-loved products

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large data volumes

- Build machine learning models through all development phases

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

**Requirements:**

- Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a relevant degree (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) in a quantitative field

- At least 2 years of experience with open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis

- At least 2 years of experience working with machine learning

- At least 2 years of experience utilizing relational databases

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- PhD in STEM field plus 4 years of experience in data analytics

- Experience working with AWS, managing people, and using Python, Scala, or R for large-scale data analysis

**Salary Information:** Chicago, IL: $209,000 - $238,500 McLean, VA: $229,900 - $262,400 New York, NY: $250,800 - $286,200 Richmond, VA: $209,000 - $238,500
