## Description

Hackney Education is a department within Hackney Council that provides excellent education for every child, young person, and adult learner. The Room Lead will oversee and lead a room in the Hillside Children's Centre to ensure high standards of integrated education and care.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise staff within the room

- Demonstrate good practice and support colleagues with development of the EYFS

- Deploy staff accordingly

- Ensure staff are up to date with special books, planning, and reviews

- Attend room leader meetings and be part of the middle leadership team

- Take responsibility as the 'accountable person' for opening and closing the building

- Liaise and work with other professionals such as Health Visitors and Educational Psychologists

Requirements:

- Qualification in Childcare and Education Level 6 and above

- Post-qualification experience, including supervisory experience

- Strong leadership and management skills

- Effective communication and organisational skills

- Ability to work flexible hours
