As a Director, Tech Recruiting at Capital One, you will lead the strategy to attract, engage, and hire high-impact technical leaders who are building the future of financial technology.

The role involves partnering with executive leadership to influence strategy, modernizing recruiting operations, and empowering high-performing recruiting teams. You will focus on Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Data Science, Applied Research, and Machine Learning.

Key responsibilities:

- Partner with senior executives to deliver transformative talent acquisition strategies

- Lead and inspire talent teams to source, attract, and hire world-class AI and technical talent

- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize pipeline performance and solve complex hiring challenges

- Drive cross-functional initiatives that elevate the candidate experience and recruiting enablement

- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all talent channels and hiring practices

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

- At least 7 years of experience in Human Resources, corporate recruiting, agency recruiting, or a combination

- At least 7 years of experience in a consultative role

- At least 7 years of people leadership experience

Preferred qualifications include:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

- Master’s Degree or MBA

- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification

- Proven track record sourcing and hiring top-tier AI, ML, Data Science, and technical talent

- 10+ years of experience in HR strategy or Talent Acquisition leadership

- 8+ years of experience in People Management and leadership development

- 8+ years of strategic consulting or client management experience

In terms of compensation, the minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are:

- McLean, VA: $206,000 - $235,100 for Director, Recruiting

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
