## Description

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Physical Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. As a Lead Substation Physical Design Engineer, you will be involved in performing conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design for medium to large scale utilities/substations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation Physical/Electrical design

- Perform advanced engineering studies and calculations

- Perform Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation physical design projects

- Create and review bill of materials for substation physical projects

- Develop and review proposals, and scopes of work for substation physical projects

- Develop and provide advanced technical presentations to the team

- Be involved in client interaction with a drive for customer satisfaction

- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers

What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):

- 4+ years of prior relevant experience

- Bachelor of Science Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial)

- Leadership experience in executing substation projects

- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal teams and clients

- Ability to lead bids and proposal effort for utility clients

- Ability to perform quality control checks on substation design projects

- Act as a supervisor for one to six direct reports

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in related field

- Experience with QA/QC

- Working knowledge of protection and control design

- Experience with BUS calculations

- Experience with WinIGS or CDEGS

- Experience with SDS AutoCAD Electrical software
