## Description

ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist at Barber Preparatory Academy in Highland Park, Michigan.

The Special Education Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students with disabilities in the school setting.

Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality speech-language therapy services to students in grades K-8

- Conduct standardized and non-standardized assessments, analyze results, and write reports

- Develop treatment plans that are strength-based and child-centered

- Ensure IEP, evaluation, and progress monitoring procedures adhere to district, state, and federal guidelines

- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other members of a student's educational team

- Demonstrate knowledge of Common Core Standards and align them with treatment objectives

- Develop and communicate a daily schedule

- Attend staff meetings and pursue professional development

- Facilitate effective student communication abilities

- Participate in building-based intervention processes

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

- Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred

- Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance preferred

- Experience providing speech-language evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy services to school-age students preferred
