## Description

We are seeking a qualified Equipment Specification Senior Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Marysville, Ohio. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-discipline team to introduce and implement equipment required for new model introduction into Honda facilities.

The Equipment Specification Senior Engineer will leverage 3D CAD software and simulation tools to identify key change points and summarize them into a specification that fixes design requirements. This individual will drive forward projects and activity as functional Project Leader, PIC, or Subject Matter Expert, from inception through the handoff to final design/assembly.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the development of new/optimal machine concepts for any process characteristic change

- Acting as zone/process/project subject matter expert (SME)

- Functionally acting as direct project leaders for midsize/large business plan projects

- Leading detailed process studies of new model car parts

- Creating Specification/Scope of Work documentation

- Independently leading group/unit level improvements in core methods and procedures

- Supporting the mentoring of associates and associate development across the group

- Creating and maintaining a critical path schedule to maintain overall project milestones

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

- Deep knowledge/understanding of 3D CAD systems and software

- Background in automated equipment development

- Excellent technical communication skills (both written and oral)
