## Description

We are seeking an experienced renal nurse to join our team as a Sister/Charge Nurse in the Renal Outpatients department at Hammersmith Hospital. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care to patients with renal conditions.

The Renal Clinic at Hammersmith Hospital provides ongoing outpatient care for transplant, vasculitis, and lupus patients. Our team is highly skilled, and you will have the support of senior clinical nurse specialists and senior sisters.

**Main Duties:**

- Carry out planned care for a group of patients without direct supervision

- Ensure assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based, individualized patient care

- Manage reception and appointment functions within the department

- Work with consultant nephrologists to review results and plan admissions

- Assist and advise staff in the delivery of patient care

- Ensure accurate clinical observations and act accordingly

- Undertake nursing procedures and administer medicines according to Trust policy

- Deal with patient and visitor concerns in a proactive manner

- Act as a patient advocate

- Oversee non-clinical and environmental services that impact patient care

**Requirements:**

- Registered Nurse qualification

- Relevant specialist course or equivalent experience

- Minimum 2-3 years of post-registration experience in the specialty

- Supervision experience of junior staff

- Organisation, administrative, and management skills

- Ability to lead a team and competency in medication administration

- IT skills including email and office packages
