## Description

The SMIT Marine Corps & OCONUS (MC&O) team at Leidos is seeking a Business Systems & AI Solutions Intern to support automation and process improvement initiatives.

As an intern on the US Navy SMIT MC&O Team, you will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance and integrate internal tools, streamline workflows, and leverage AI to automate manual processes where applicable.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

- Enhance and integrate reporting tools, automation, and AI

- Maintain and enhance internally developed tools

- Develop or support tools that analyze data to identify similar or analogous tasks

- Conduct targeted research on technical services to support automation

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree programme in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field

- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and macros

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to multitask, self-assign work, and thrive in a fast-paced proposal environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- US citizenship with the ability to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Visual Basic/VBA, and/or Python

- Experience applying AI or generative AI tools to business or analytical problems

- Familiarity with platforms like Salesforce, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar

- Experience working with automation tools, data repositories, or legacy systems

- Ability to remain composed and productive under high-pressure deadlines

The pay range for this position is $48,100.00 - $86,950.00.
