## Description

We are seeking a Principal Coordinator, Security Operations Specialist to join our Global Workplace Services (GWS) team at Capital One. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day activities in the Global Security Operation Center (GSOC), which is our 24/7 security and intelligence function.

The GSOC evaluates and reports on hazards and threats to the company, including natural disasters, terror attacks, civil unrest, workplace violence, facility intrusion, and others. As a Principal Coordinator, Security Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees and the community.

Responsibilities:

- Intake of critical response communications

- Responding to calls for equipment service and information about security-related technology systems

- Monitor and respond to security alarms utilizing alarm monitoring tools, cameras, and various intelligence resources

- Synthesize large amounts of information quickly

- Create a comprehensive documented record of security-related incidents

- Coordinate routine and critical incident communications

- Understand the proper use of security-related tools and procedures

- Implement access control procedures

- Assist with physical security validations for partners and vendors

- Support general security, first responder, and law enforcement engagement and response to incidents

- Escalate to supervisors when appropriate

Requirements:

- At least 2 years of experience in one or more of these fields: Law enforcement, Military, Corporate Security, Business Continuity, Risk, Emergency Management, or Customer Service

- At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

- Associate’s degree or higher

- 3+ years of experience in the security field

- 3+ years of Security Operations Center or emergency communications experience
