We’re looking for a Senior PHP Engineer based in Mexico to help grow Lenda, our credit card product for the Mexican market. You’ll join a small, cross-functional team with a startup mindset, backed by one of Europe’s most successful and profitable fintechs. You’ll play a key role in scaling a new product, with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape how we build from an early stage.

## Responsibilities

We’re seeking passionate engineers who are excited to contribute and grow with us. You will:

- Take ownership and make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1

- Work in small teams of exceptional people, challenging the status quo to solve problems and find smarter solutions

- Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting

## Requirements

Must have:

- Strong English language skills (written and spoken)

- High degree of ownership and autonomy

- Strong, business-oriented engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must)

- Solid grasp of a modern PHP framework like Symfony or Laravel

- Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems, Event Sourcing and CQRS

- Excellent automated testing skills (unit, integration, functional)

- Based in Mexico or willing to relocate to Mexico

Nice to have:

- Familiarity with microservices architecture and working on financial systems

- Experience with AI tooling to accelerate productivity

- Experience in a cross-functional environment
