## Description

GovTech is the lead agency driving Singapore's Smart Nation initiatives and public sector digital transformation. As the Centre of Excellence for Infocomm Technology and Smart Systems (ICT & SS), GovTech develops the Singapore Government's capabilities in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Application Development, Smart City Technology, Digital Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity.

You will be working on the Workpass Integrated System (WINS), a large-scale Ops-Tech setup in MOM, to implement a multi-year initiative to replace the existing legacy systems and consolidate all work pass transactions into a one-stop integrated workpass system, via an Agile delivery approach.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Designing, building, integrating, testing, and maintaining complex software components.

- Building prototypes and designing system architectures to demonstrate technology opportunities.

- Adopting design thinking and customer-oriented approaches, such as agile software development practices, to manage and deliver quality solutions.

- Harnessing emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, to deliver business value and enhance service experience.

- Working with other UX designers, developers, and engineers to deliver enterprise engineering products in an exciting and fast-paced environment.

- Delivering technical consultancy and expertise in the systems development process, contributing to defining technical specifications, configuring and testing solutions.

- Instituting and promoting continuous integration/delivery practices within the development team.

- Working with hosting and/or cloud providers to set up application environments and enable smooth and efficient application deployments.

- Developing scripts and making use of continuous integration tools to automate build, software release, and application deployment.

- Provisioning and managing servers, virtual machines, application containers, software licenses, and other related resources for the development team.

Requirements:

- Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields, or relevant experience.

- Good knowledge of Agile software development, DevOps, and cloud technologies.

- Experience in modern web and application technologies/stack (e.g., Nuxt JS, Vue JS, Node JS, Angular, React JS, Next JS, Java, Spring Boot, Python).

- Passion for tech and curiosity in learning new technologies (e.g., OutSystems).

- Experience with relevant CI tools/technologies, such as Gitlab.

- Experience with infrastructure provision tools (Docker, Terraform, Terragrunt, etc.).

- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Lambda.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have:

- Experience in architecting and developing solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.

- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS Professional Solutions Architect and/or Cloud Practitioner Certification) will be an added advantage.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with key stakeholders at all levels.

- Past work experience in large software teams is a plus.
