## Description

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical to join our team in Pasig City, National Capital Region (NCR), Philippines.

As a Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical, you will be responsible for preparing the mechanical design requirements of projects and mentoring and guiding other mechanical design engineers in the team.

**Main Activities and Responsibilities:**

- Responsible for the design of mechanical services design of building services and associated systems of work.

- Leads and supervises the Mechanical Engineering team in implementing project objectives, plans and programs within the department as directed by the management.

- Ensures that project designs/studies from clients are completed in accordance with acceptable prescribed standards for each requesting party's place/country of origin and its intent/content.

- Responsible for liaison with local supply authorities to gain approvals, when necessary.

- Manages and maintains records of all incoming and outgoing drawings from the office in accordance with WSP QA procedures.

- Liaises with WSP personnel and WSP's partners, both local and foreign affiliates, and clients.

- Liaises and coordinates with other disciplines of the design team.

- Manages and controls outputs in accordance with the design work program.

- Attends meetings when required, both local and overseas.

- Responsible for training and development of junior staff and Mechanical Engineering team.

- Creates regular reports on project status for management.

- Exhibits behaviour consistent with that of a professional member of WSP.

- Keeps abreast of technical updates and advises management.

- Complies with all role-specific SHEQ obligations.

- Provides key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.

- Develops experience in managing small teams.

- Contributes to building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.

- Audits other more junior staff.

- Applies safety in design processes on projects.

- Prepares high-level technical reports and reviews medium-size project reports.

- Project leads medium-sized multi-discipline projects.

- Uses HVAC software and 3D modelling to develop mechanical system designs.

**Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):**

- Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) is a plus.

- At least 10 years of experience in a similar capacity.

- Knowledge of Camel program or other HVAC load estimating software.

- Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
