## Description

Syneos Health is seeking a Data Engineer II to provide technical guidance and support to development teams and clients throughout the solution lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of experience in Database Development, Master Data Management (MDM), and Data Integration initiatives, with strong expertise in Azure Databricks and PySpark for developing scalable, high-performance data pipelines.

Key responsibilities include:

- Providing technical guidance and support to development teams and clients

- Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to Cloud-based Data Lake and Data Mesh environments

- Developing and implementing scalable and secure cloud solutions for Big Data Platforms

- Optimizing data pipelines using distributed cloud computing

- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for solution designs, configurations, and best practices

The ideal candidate will have:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions using Azure data integration technologies

- Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and PySpark

- Proficient in SQL development, with extensive experience writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries

- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, source code management, CI/CD processes, and Azure DevOps/GitHub integration

- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

Preferred qualifications include:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

- Experience supporting data management and analytics initiatives for Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences organizations

- Hands-on experience with data-centric platforms and implementations, including CRM/SFA solutions and Business Intelligence tools
