## Description

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable nurse to work within the plant setting to provide high-quality healthcare services. This is a union-represented salaried position that involves assisting physicians in administering treatments, physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and basic medical care functions with diligence, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include:

Providing health services and administering surveillance evaluations to company employees, recording observations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with company policy. Performing routine nursing tasks associated with medical screenings, tests, and clinical procedures. Collecting appropriate samples and specimens from patients, and performing hearing and vision screening following clinical protocols. Monitoring patient vitals, behaviours, and assisting in medical emergencies that may occur on company premises such as accidents, injuries, sudden illnesses, etc. Following established policies and procedures, identifying roadblocks, and effectively communicating issues to the medical team's attention. Providing patient-centred care with empathy, kindness, and professionalism. Communicating health screening results, communicating physical rehabilitation programs information to patients requiring treatment, and assisting with medication administration while managing medication protocols. Maintaining accurate and confidential records, ensuring compliance with regulatory developments and infection control protocols. Supporting emergency procedures preparation and adherence to infection control practices. Maintaining an understanding of all relevant regulatory developments defining patient privacy and medical record confidentiality, infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, accreditation Standards, etc. Working all shifts as needed, weekends as needed.

Schedules may vary: 4:00 pm - 12:00 am, Monday-Friday.

## Skills

### Required
- Associate's Degree in nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Unrestricted state licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
