## Description

We are looking for a Consultant in General Radiology to join a friendly and cohesive team of radiologists with diverse expertise in a busy department and a strong record in teaching, mentoring and training.

The post will be based at Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of Barts Health NHS Trust.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent general radiology skills including US, CT, plain film reporting, fluoroscopy and MRI, as well as having the relevant subspecialty interest.

Applicants should be GMC registered and ideally able to commence in the very near future.

Research and teaching activities are encouraged and supported by the active academic department and there is a highly successful training programme with registrars.

**Job Responsibilities:**

- Providing a comprehensive cross-sectional and diagnostic radiology service

- Participating in research and teaching activities

**Requirements:**

- MB BS or equivalent

- FRCR or equivalent

- Full GMC registration with license to practise

- Extensive experience in diagnostic radiology

- Teaching undergraduates and postgraduates

- Demonstrates honesty, integrity and appreciation of ethical dilemmas

- Able to change and respond to changing circumstances

- Able to work as part of a team

- Ability to work under pressure

**Desirable:**

- Evidence of participation in regional MDTs, in a chosen subspeciality

- A 2nd subspeciality eg Paediatric or Trauma radiology

- Training in root cause analysis

- Research grants / Grant applications

- First author publications in refereed journals

**Benefits:**

- Salary: £113,565 to £150,569 a year

- Fixed term contract for 12 months
