## Description

This Medical Assistant role at Budge Clinic - Sports Medicine, part of Intermountain Health, involves providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting, including those with acute and chronic needs.

Responsibilities:

- Provide patient care under the direction of a clinician

- Communicate clearly with patients through various modalities

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on patient care

Requirements:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or one year of experience

- Current Basic Life Support Certification

- Demonstrated basic computer skills

- Professional manner and strong interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively and protect patient confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in an outpatient clinic or healthcare setting

- Computer literacy in electronic medical records

- National MA certification

Physical Requirements:

- Ongoing need to see, read, and assess patient needs

- Frequent interactions with patients and providers

- Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment

- Ability to lift and transfer patients

- Need to walk and assist with transporting patients

Schedule:

- PRN on-call position, working Tuesdays from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with on-call shifts as needed
