## Description

MongoDB is seeking a Forward Deployed Architect to join its Industry Solutions Team. As a technical design lead, you will work with independent software vendors (ISVs) to design how MongoDB integrates with and extends their product.

Responsibilities:

- Lead technical design for ISV engagements by understanding partner architecture and delivery models

- Design MongoDB as a supported platform option alongside Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server

- Design coexistence architectures and migration paths

- Lead design reviews, provide technical direction, and review schemas, queries, indexes, and performance

- Design solutions across MongoDB Atlas, Enterprise Advanced, and self-managed environments

- Build reusable architecture patterns, migration playbooks, and code templates

- Stay hands-on by reading partner code and prototyping critical paths

Requirements:

- 8+ years of experience in backend engineering and application architecture

- Strong application-side MongoDB expertise

- Application-level experience with at least one major relational database

- Experience designing migrations of production workloads between relational databases and MongoDB

- Strong SaaS and product-engineering knowledge

- Ability to influence engineers and stakeholders without formal authority

Nice to Have:

- Experience working inside an ISV or product company

- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and technologies like Kafka or Debezium

- Experience with regulated or data-intensive industries

- MongoDB certification or experience with MongoDB's broader product portfolio
